New Band Feature: Our Hollow, Our Home

“In one way or another this band has saved every member from a really dark place. It's taken blood, sweat and tears from all of us and will definitely continue to do so,” guitarist Tobias Young detailed, regarding his melodic metalcore ensemble. As a quintet from Southampton, Our Hollow, Our Home has been gaining a following along the south coast of the UK playing gigs such as Buterfest, Takedown Festival, and Messtival.

While their sound can be compared to that of The Amity Affliction or Thrice, the band wouldn’t ever rule out a musical segment because, “it didn’t sound like something [they] would do.” They’ve only ever written music for themselves and about things they’ve experienced – that’s how they truly connect with their listeners.

That being said the band has become known for their heavy interludes among artfully crafted clean vocals, simultaneously interjected with powerful unclean verses. They are currently working on their follow up to their debut EP //REDEFINE, which will be released summer of 2016. “We really feel the new material is a massive step up for us as a band in terms of both song writing and lyrical content.”
