New Single: 'People Like Me, We Just Don't Play' - Emarosa
The upbeat drum tempo straight from the get-go sets this track up to be an emotionally driven hard-hitter. The post-hardcore quartet brings a full sound backed with frontman Bradley Walden’s drawn out singing, showing unclean vocals aren’t always needed to provide the necessary passionate depth to a hardcore song. The melody is a roller coaster of soft moments replaced at once with the fervent chorus, and the best moment comes in the middle of the song where a heavy “Aw, fuck it” is sighed and the track changes course to a highly impassioned bridge. Walden adds a distinctive flair to Emarosa’s music that may be different from original singer Jonny Craig, but it’s still just as full hearted.
