New Single: Dancing Like an Idiot by Bayside
Pop-punk veterans Bayside take on ‘bullshit’ Warped Tour bands in their latest single ‘Dancing Like An Idiot’. The band, who will soon be embarking on their 15th anniversary tour, felt the need to call out fellow artists seen as fake who are pulling the scene down.
“Warped Tour is where you see all kinds of different people,” frontman Anthony Raneri told Billboard. “I see bands or fans come to the show, different fashion styles, different statements. Some of it's rad. Some of it's bullshit. And the bullshit rises to the top sometimes."
The track contains comical verses such as, “while you’re dancing like an idiot, they’re looking up to you” and “you’re basically One Direction if they all had throat tattoos,” that sum up some of the typical stereotypes of certain bands. The upbeat and catchy song also includes a lyric video that uses the font of the bands on Bayside’s shit list.
