Chiodos Back Out Of The Blackout Tour

Chiodos has recently announced that that have backed out of their upcoming European tour on which they would have been supporting The Blackout. Although there was no clear explanation for Chiodos’s cancelation, a statement was released pinning the decision on recent line-up changes within the band. Shortly before this statement was released, drummer Derrick Frost and bassist Matt Goddard had left the band and been quickly replaced by Thomas Pridgen (ex Mars Volta) and Joseph Troy (ex Rx Bandits). These changes leave Chiodos fans biting their nails, wondering if anyone else is leaving and hoping that an impending break up is not on the horizon. This recent news is reminiscent of the exit of singer Craig Owens in 2009, when the band’s career began to head downhill after multiple line-up changes. Chiodos is to be replaced on The Blackout Tour by Scottish post-hardcore band, Yashin. The tour will commence November second in Norwich. When We Were Wolves will also be supporting.

The Blackout Tour can be seen in Southampton on Wednesday, November 12 at 1865. The show is to begin at 7:00pm.
